Message from Pastor Julie: Jesus says, "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and youll recover your life. Ill show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me- watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I wont lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and youll learn to live freely and lightly." (Matthew 11:28-30 in The Message by Eugene Peterson) At Wellesley Mennonite Church we strive to keep company with Jesus: together, were trying to learn a different life-rhythm. This happens weekly during Worship and Christian Education on Sundays, amid Youth Group and Bible Study. It occurs at our monthly KFC (Kids for Christ) club, Junior Youth Group and Hour of Prayer gatherings. It happens as we get to know the local community at our Fall Barbecue and through our Apple Fritter Booth at the annual Apple Butter & Cheese Festival. It happens as we join together for choirs, service projects, car washes, comforter-knotting, spaghetti suppers, and chats on the sidewalk. Whether youre 2 or 102, YOU can catch this rhythm! Wed love to have you join us in keeping company with Christ. RESOURCES: Mennonite & Brethren in Christ Resource Centre
