Church Council
Membership & Term: persons by virtue of office: Church Treasurer, Youth Rep., Worship Committee, Trustee, Christian Education Leaders, Congregational Chairperson, Pastor, plus three additional members with one appointed annually for a three year term Purpose: To provide a representative leadership group of persons within the congregation to counsel on matters pertaining to the welfare of the congregation. Responsibilities: a) To meet 10-12 times per year. b) To be open to counsel with any person in the congregation who may desire to attend the regular meetings to share concerns related to congregational life. c) To review reports and give direction to committees. d) To be a discerning body, helping to guide the congregation in the way God leads. e) To plan and organize the Annual Meeting and other congregational meetings. f) To lead the congregation in decision making and discussion of major issues.
