Congregational Chairperson

Membership and Term: appointed for a three year term with a maximum of two consecutive terms.

NOTE: The person in this position should have the option to be free from other leadership roles.

Purpose: To provide leadership for administrative functions of the church.

Responsibilities:

a)     To chair church council meetings, annual meetings and additional congregational meetings. This person would serve as a  member of church council.

b)     To prepare agendas for the above referred to meetings.

c)     To meet and consult with the Pastor at regularly scheduled times to discuss congregational concerns, agenda clarification  and personal issues.

d)     To oversee the work of the administrative committees and persons, such as: trustees, stewardship and finance, treasurer,   church secretary and custodian.

Accountability: Church Council
